    New biofuel facility in CT

Hey everyone. My family has an international business which I though was supposed to be an environmentally sound tree company until I worked on the crews on summer and realized we run hundreds of diesel trucks nonstop while the crews are working. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly and hopefully to have a cost-efficient way of vertically integrating our own fuel expenses, I will be constructing a pilot facility preferably in Stamford, CT. We will be using glass tube photobioreactors to grow Botryococcus braunii. I am just learning about the hydrocracking technology used to create various grades of fuel, but I would like to use this technology to make the facility economically viable after the pilot program is completed. Initial stages of production can use simple press to extract oils, then using ultrasonic systems as the facility progresses. At this time, the facility will hopefully produce 500 to 1500 gallons of fuel per day.
I think there is a solid market for production and direct delivery for fleet services. Once this pilot facility begins producing and my company has a cost effective formula for sucess, I would like to go nationwide, installing facilities close to my business locations. I've heard that producing biodiesel can cost more to make than it is currently worth to sell competitive to petro fuels. I believe this formula on some form of scale could produce a product available to the public at rate of $1.99 per gallon. That would be grand.
If there is anybody in the new york metropolitan area that would like to work on the project, let me know. I know my companies fuel demand itself is in the excess of millions of dollars, so I'm not worried about not finding customers right away. Quite frankly, I would not really mind building an entire empire here, we have no where to go except expanding. Algaculture based biofuels are definitely going to be a big part of a boom that is taking off right now.
Anybody that knows what is up with biofuel tech is welcome to get in on the action. Right now I'm starting a subsidiary of my start-up company Stoic Enterprises, to create ModSto Energy, LLC. ModSto Energy will be invested in biofuel production and distribution solutions as well as installing advanced two axis active tracking solar farms as well as wind farms using propeller and helical technologies.

I think you should log onto www.ecogenics.  and though they are not in your immediate area they may provide some of the technology that you are interested in.  I talked with Marc while I was dodging the snow storm of upstate New York last week and was encouraged by all he has going on now. Marc is very active on this forum as you could search by entering his keyword : ECOGENICS3 on the top of the biodieselnow page.  Good luck in your endeavor.  Joe McCLeery

You and Bobk should talk. You have something in common.

I have not done a lot of research on Bb but from what I understand it is harder and more expensive to turn into biodiesel and is also a pretty slow grower.

Maybe you should consider some of the other high producing but quicker growing algae that can be turned into biodiesel quickly and easily.
