I would warn against doing this with glycerol from home brewers, because the glycerin may still have methanol in it, which is toxic via either fumes or repeated skin exposure.
The methanol can be removed, but unless you know what you're doing, I would recommend getting your glycerin from someone (preferably a professional operating a commercial facility) who has already done this using a methanol recovery apparatus.
