    Exchange Resins for Biodiesel Production

There are a range of resins available that can be inserted into the Biodiesel process to enhance the efficiency of the process. Has anone had any experiece with Lewatit resins GF 101 and the washing resin GF 202. I gather resins are also named K2567 and K2621

The GF101 only makes sense if you have some sort of water control or a way of purifying the resultant methanol/water mix.

The GF202 needs methanol removal prior to use but otherwise looks very interesting. I have a sample that I hope to begin experimenting with in a month or so.

I notice you can buy GF202 from Biofuel Systems - http://www.biofuelsystems.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=329

Re: Exchange Resins for Biodiesel Production GF202

We have installed 750L of GF202 into a system recently with great sucess. Usually, we hold 1000L (40 x 25L bags) of this material on stock as with methanol, KOH, NaOH etc.
