    How to measure algae´s weight?

    Dear all,

    I use B.b as my experiement.After 5 days,there is a lot bit algae grow up.But I like to know how can I measure

    algae“s weight from each 100ml?How can I make the algae dry from water?

     

    Please help me,thanks to you all!!!!

    I like this Valerie, , I remember this one, I didnt know about this one . But what is very apparent, that with so many songs written about you, you are definately TROUBLE!

    By the way... to completely dry something, an oven @ 105C until there is no more water weight loss is the most simple way to know how much H2O is in the sample. Green leaves takes ~ 3hrs. Algae, being very high water weight will take much much longer. I would try and pipette out H2O as much as I could first.

    Hi Valerie,

    One of the easiest way to measure algae weight is to filter it through a pre-weight filter paper and dry it. :)
