The Manager – Power Market Analys is responsible for delivering analysis to various internal stakeholders by developing and evolving the market models and tools necessary to support the business development efforts.
Accountabilities Include:
• Develop medium to long-term power price scenarios to inform BP decision-making in key markets.
• Develop range of price scenarios in a standard format for specific projects.
• Develop an assured internal view of the key assumptions on projects with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop short to medium range forecasting that shapes and informs financing and hedging strategies for US wind projects.
• Build BP's capability in power market analysis by bringing in best practices and developing common framework in terms of process and tools for ongoing power market analysis.
• Produce a regular North America power market report highlighting key market trends and issues for senior management.
• Develop and maintain key consulting relationships for information gathering and ad hoc analytical support.
• Manage one direct report.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Manager – Power Market Analysis applicants must have:
• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
• Experience with sustained delivery in Procurement & Supply Chain Management (PSCM).
• Experience with supply chain sector strategy development, tender process, negotiations, agreement execution and supplier performance management..
• Experience with IT procurement.
• Project management experience in an IT technical environment.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and the contractual aspect of these IT relationships.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Strong skills with MS Word.
• Strong skills with MS Excel.
• Strong skills with MS PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:
• Oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience with supply chain aspects of purchase to pay.
• Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with start up businesses.
