New to forum & BioD - Any home brewers in South/Central Jersey?

Hi Everyone - Brand new here so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. Are there any brewers in the South Jersey area? I don't presently own a diesel but I am actively looking. My plan is to use biod as the main fuel source. I would like to get into using and brewing biod preferably from used cooking oil. Feel free to drop me a line: zdroptop@yahoo.com  Thanks!!

I know the thread is old but I just joined.

I'm from Central NJ (Cranbury) and getting ready to ramp up to larger batches. I'm willing to work with anyone in the area.

    irish1,

I am in Hamilton and would like to start brewing. I am new to this. I can get my hands on WVO. Let me know if your still interested.

    escarola,

I'm also new to this. I have processed one liter batches and am ready to ramp up. I am having problems finding methanol locally at a price close to those I have been reading about here. Bitner Automotive in Trenton had it for $5.47 a gallon (bring your own container or buy a 5 gal one there for $26.50), Extreme Machine on Rt 33 Hightstown sells 5 gallons for $73.09 ($14.62 a gal.), Raceway Park never responded to my RFQ.

I have a water heater I will be using as a reactor but I'm having problems getting it stripped down (I can't get the anode rod and cold water dip tube out (I guess I need bigger tools).

I am very much interested in working with others.

How far into the process are you?

    Irish1,

I have not actually made any yet. I am pretty handy with tools and measurements (I'm a chef). I would like to get the experience by making with someone first. I am going out of country next week and will be back Monday June 30. When I get back maybe we can get together.

Meanwhile I will look into the Trenton Methanol supplier and get back to you on that.
