Hi Andrew
Do you mind outlining your qualifications for running this class?
Do you have liability insurance in case someone is injured?

Hi Andrew
It is disappointing that you do not wish to tell us what your qualifications are for running this class.
Surely you have liability insurance that will cover any personal injury or property damage that might result from unexperienced people working with dangerous chemicals being instructed by someone who may also have limited knowledge and experience.

Hi Andrew
TillyBob?
You seem to be reluctant to tell us your qualifications for running this workshop. Are you embarrased?
A simple question. Is your Biodiesel production experience more than 2 years or less?
Do you know, if someone in your class has an accident and there is an injury, who gets sued?

Tilly/Billy,
I am not in the mood for your games, and don't expect that to change any time soon. This is my last post to you on this issue. I will point out that you do not answer my simple questions either.
To anyone who has genuine interest in my classes, I have a long list of happy past students who are more than willing to share thier experience of the class.
Thanks, Tilly/Billy, for pushing my post about the class to the top of the list a few time. This class has only been open for a few days, and is almost full.

Re: Hands On Homebrewing - SF Bay Area - March 1
I am confused. Every class I've ever taken, in any subject, those teaching the class have been more than willing to share their credentials with anyone who wanted them. Your reticence for doing so makes it appear (whether accurate or otherwise) that you are not properly qualified, or have not made the proper arrangements to ensure participant safety (the insurance issue). If I were going to be in the area at the time and had been interested in attending, your attitude in this thread and non-response to some very basic questions asked, would have made me change my mind.
I've seen what passes as "normal" in this World, and I prefer to be weird.

Re: Hands On Homebrewing - SF Bay Area - March 1
placidair,
I appreciate your response.
It so happens that I know the person who is asking the questions from another forum. He and I have had lenghty arguements and I have vowed not to engage in his childish antics every again. He does not really want the info he claims to ask for. He is famously antagonisitic there, to the point that there had been a bashing forum in his honor which contained over 30 pages.
If you or anyone else has questions feel free to ask them. Particulary if you have some genuine interest.
I choose not to play with that particular member of this forum, based on my personal experience of him on the other forum. I hope you can appreciate that.

Re: Hands On Homebrewing - SF Bay Area - March 1
Hi Andrew,
Those were the good ol days ! :) Remember the 2 stage ? I am still working on it ! We are using the glycerin byproduct for the first stage and having good results ! :)
I never liked the Tilly bashing thread. That whole way of thinking is why I don't like infopop.
The way of thinking as I see it on infopop is if you don't agree with someones ideas then start bashing the person. Even the moderators get caught up in it.
I asked Shaun to delete that thread if he was serious about wanting to change the tone over there.
Thanks, Steve

Re: Hands On Homebrewing - SF Bay Area - March 1
Hi Andrew,
Remember when I showed you the thread where girl mark said the 3/27 test was no good and didn't work ?
The thinking on infopop was that the ideas on JTF were no good because the leader of JTF was no good ?
If you read his work he is kind of wacko !
I think that way of thinking is left over of from the JTF connection infopop has with JTF !
I feel bad that way of thinking got mixed up with biodiesel ! It shuts down new ideas !
Sorry Andrew but you used the Tilly bashing thread to try and bash Tilly.
I believe that thread bashes infopop !
Thanks, Steve

Re: Hands On Homebrewing - SF Bay Area - March 1
Steve,
I know what you mean. If that bugs you, I understand and appologize. I just don't want to get into the same games with Tilly here that he is famous for over there.
I think it is good to judge things by the usefulness of the info, and not by the person, as much as that is possible. I think that it is great that Tilly was still looking on JTF for good info, even though we all know that most of what is there is outdated at best. Which is why, (in spite of the way you know I feel about Tilly and his style) I voted that the most important post on infopop in recent years was Tilly posting 3/27. I also give him credit for increasing the saftey awareness on infopop, as much as his style annoys me. In spite of all the good he has done, I am still not going to get into it with him, here or there.
Mark has been right about a lot of things and wrong about some things as well. That can be said about anyone. She is a friend of mine, strengths, flaws and all.
By the way, it seems like sometimes you kind of have a bit of a bash at Mark from time to time. I agree with you that it is better to avoid having these places be about bashing.
