    Nebraska Co-Op

I make biodiesel near Omaha, Nebraska.  I saw several old posts out there about forming a co-op.  If any of you Nebraskans/Western Iowans are still looking to form a group or exchange ideas, let me know.  I also have a large supply of vegetable oil available if you need.

Where specifically do you brew your BioD? I've been collecting WVO for a while now, and will be building a processor this spring with my twin brother. I am very interested in formig a Co-op, it's great to hear that other people are interested as well.

I sent you an email, I look forward to hearing back from you.

And about the use of Biodiesel in cold weather.  I am sorry to say, I have seen nothing yet to effect the cloud point of Biodiesel.  If someone were to invent it, they would be rich overnight!!!!

You can blend it with pump fuel in any porportion you want.  Here in NebraskaI try and get away with 50/50 in the worse part of the winter, teens to upper 20's F.

I've been working with about 5 other guys in the area, and today is official founding day.

It's not much to look at right now, but I opened the Coop bank account, registered the domain, and have it hosted now.

    Re: Nebraska Co-Op

good to hear from you Rick.

we are absolutely looking for members. currently there are about 6, and i've been holding back on a full scale membership drive until we've actually produced a significant amount of fuel that i would run in my own car. i'm currently working with someone else's processor, but plan on building one here in Omaha as soon as i've got a location and specific brewing method that will work for all the Coop members. we've got a fair supply of oil coming in now, but we'll eventually be looking to set up more collecting deals so if you know of anyone who needs collection services let me know.

sorry i missed the last Open Garage day, I didn't see the posting until after it had already happened. i do plan on attending the next Open Garage, and I'll bring my brother and a few other Coop members with me.

    i'll keep you posted,

    Eric
