    Starting a local Co-op

    Hi all,

My dad and I are a couple of old dieselheads interested in starting a local biodiesel co-op...but we don't know where to get started.  Based on our location (about 50 miles from Washington DC), we feel certain that we are in the right location to start such a venture.  Wtih the number of existing diesel vehicles on the road (specifically in our area) and the anticipated growth of diesel vehicles to come, we think we could generate a sizeable interest group (co-op).

We were hoping someone here in this forum might be able to point us in the right direction?

BTW, our interest is converting WVO into biodiesel.

    Thanks!

Hey there, you say 50 miles from DC, Im wondering which direction , Im in Stafford, VA about 50 miles from DC....I like your ideas and would be interested in helping with a COOP.  I have an 82 Rabbit and I'll be getting an 05 beetle soon.  Im interested in the WVO to diesel for the Rabbit for now.

    Hey Greg,

We're out to the west, in Warren County.

Pops has a 2003 VW Jetta and I'm searching for an experimental car myself.  We both heat our homes with oil, so we'd like to do a biodiesel conversion for our homes as well.

    Take care,

    Wally

    Greg,

This weekend happens to be the same weekend that I have military reserve duty, so I won't be able to make this particular event...perhaps next time?

Is the meeting still planned for today, and how many people have expressed an interest in showing up?

    Greg
