    buying a biodiesel vehicle

I'm in the market for a vehicle and want something i can run on biodiesel for obvious reasons but I'm having a hard time finding something that suits my needs. My last vehicle was a truck and I've gotten addicted to the benenfits of having a truck, however I live in town now and don't really need a massive truck as most diesel trucks are. Most of them get worse gas mileage than my old Ford Ranger gas truck did, and I won't need to be hauling anything. I do go up into the mountains quite a bit and do a lot of driving on dirt roads, and I need a vehicle that can carry a lot of stuff. Any suggestions? My price range drastically limits my options and I will have to get an older car. I have found an 82 Toyota pickup that is smaller and diesel, and has a newer Japanese import 2.8 Liter 3L engine in it, as well as a newer manual transmission, but I'm unsure how long these little Toyota trucks are really built to last. I've also found an 83 Mitsubishi Turbo Diesel longbed pickup with 186,000 original miles and a brand new clutch and transmission, but again I'm unsure how long or for how many miles it's built to last. Does anyone have any knowledge of these trucks or ideas of where I can find answers to these questions?

    Re: buying a biodiesel vehicle

The ones that I know about are the Isuzu P'up (Pup)/Chevy Luv, the Toyota you've mentioned, the Mitsubish Mighty Max, and the VW Caddy (aka Rabbit Pickup). There are forums for the VW and the Isuzu at least (i,e, isuzupup.com), and I'm sure you can find plenty of information there,
