BioDieselNow - Renewable biodiesel fuel

A banner would be nice to hang from the edge of a display table, to really define what the display is about. For the "nature/enviro" fairs that I've set up a table at, it's usually outside with no backdrop to put a banner on. Frequently, the car ends up away from the display, or parked (more like wedged) behind the table, with poor sight lines. Not that these banners are going to be made, since interest seems to have really pooped out, but grommets on the corners would add some functionality. Made of tyvek or other lightweight material that wouldn't cost a fortune to ship, would be useful too. Thanks for thinking about it again!

Grommets is the way to go. It gives you the flexibility to use hooks, bungee cords, plastic straps, hails, rope, piece of your underwear... whatever comes handy and depending on where you want to hang it. The cheapest and at the same time tough material for outdoor banners I suggest is called Mercury, its vinyl re-enforced with nylon string mesh. We can install brass grommets in the 4 corners. The size of a regular booth on exhibitions is normally 10' wide and there is a backdrop on which to hang the banner (in most cases), the table is either 6' or 8' and for across the hood we can probably do one about 42" wide - again if the hood is open bungee cords could be used to stretch the banner on top and bottom. Ideally we should have 3 different sizes banners and depending on the setup people can use the best suitable size. Also this gives us the flexibility to send banners in 2-3 different places at the same time.

What would the price be for the three different sizes?

 I vote for a 'green' banner, not to big, but not too small. I'll put in a request to borrow it over Labor Day for the TDIFest OH-08. (this link is for the conference hotel; I'll post registration information in a few weeks)

A side request: We're looking for a good 30-45 minute speaker for one of the Saturday morning tech sessions. Ideas, volunteers? (also wouldn't mind someone volunteering when/if we have a truck to distribute biodiesel at the Fest. ie. answer questions, lining up drivers, hanging Biodieselnow banner, etc)

Nate, the normal price I charge for a banner is $10/linear foot. Your price and for anyone else on BDN.com will be $6/foot. That’s my small contribution to help promote the site and biodiesel in general.

I also suggest we make the banners no more than 24”high for shipping purposes. I have sturdy tubes that size and this will simplify the shipping. Of course if taller banner is required I can go to max 29-30” height and I’m sure I’ll find appropriate size tube, if needed… I only have white backing available. If you want me to prepare and propose an artwork, let me know, we can post 2-3 different designs here and let people suggest ideas.

I need one for earth day.   The Canoe Paddle Processor gets around !   It hooks up to the back of the car and you don't need electric, just the sun  !

my fiance has a commercial grade sewing machine that can handle very large banner type material.

if you guys come up with a design (i dont know much about seweing, i can fix a rip in a shirt or pants), then I'll get her to help and we'll see if we can make a few more banners to ad to the pool.

Yep, I have it and it's been used twice. Oddly enough, I don't have photos of it in use. I'll ask one of my associates if he some photos.

How about some pc geek writting a little program so it pop up on our websites, or emails, ect???
