    new guy questions

I'm new to the site and new to biodiesel.  I have been looking at different processors and from what I can tell they are all better than the other guy (imagine that).  They all have a "Made in the USA" sticker on them too but when you start asking questions about individual parts, they're not ALL American made, very aggrivating.

Anyway, I've narrowed it down to the ezbiodiesel EZ80.  Just curious as to why I've couldn't find any opinions on this.  I've read all of the posts on the poly vs SS but other than that is it any good?  I like the Bio Bro 190 but don't have the money to sink into something like that.  And I don't have the time to spend trying to make my own.  All I know is that fuel costs about $4.20 right now and I'm ready to do something.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would never react biodiesel using a plastic anything.  To many things can go wrong.

Spend the bucks and get a real biodiesel processor or build it yourself but stay away from plastic.

Plastic tanks are cheap, easy to ship, and cost effective for a company looking to profit.  That says nothing about what is good for the customer.

    Keep that in mind.

Thanks, I actually found a couple of large stainless tanks and I'm going to try building one myself.

Have you made any biodiesel yet?  Like small test batches?  If not, that is where you should start.  Learn the process before buiding the machine.  Do a search for "Dr Pepper" to find posts on using a Dr Pepper bottle to make small test batches to learn how things work.

Check out the BioPro 150. It's not as automated and sells for $2400.00 less than a 190.

    Re: new guy questions

Well I finally got the necessary items to make a few small batches. I'm going to try that this weekend.  Also, I plan to use my 80 gallon air compressor tank for the processor because it seems it will drain better not being flat on bottom. Not to mention I already have it on hand.  Thanks for the replies. I look forward to making my first batch this weekend.
