I was just wondering what the best ways were to make a homemade co2 source that may last for hours or days as i am away from my house for a couple days at a time
Ok in truth a couple things are bothering me
I have had a straind of Tetraselmis for 2 weeks and it still has failed to green my tank. I grow it in a shed with an air conditioner on 78 degrees and i put animal/ indoor plant lights in the roof in order to give the tank light. I used distilled water from the store and mixed a 500 ml sample with some salt compund from petsmart. i used a specific gravity tester to ensure the right amout of salt/water in the solution and then put in a 10 gallon tank with a small aeriating rock from petsmart. Humidity in the shed has been an average of 40-60 % and i have the lights set on a timer in order to conserve energy (they are off for 5 hours in the night) i put only a small amount of miracle grow in the tank ( a pinch or two) and have waited for two weeks. what am i doing wrong?
I asked marc for a copy of his book also and im just waiting for a reply...
