Hello, we live near Perry and are looking for others interested in pressing oil and raising oilseeds.  Please let me know.  I know of a few others as well.

I live tween Stw and Perry.  Got involved, cooked some myself then fell out of interest doing it on my own.  Would be interested in like-minded thinkers, got a fair amount of stuff including an appleseed that I built.  Any details on the coop?

    Pressnperry,

I am interested in the process of pressing and producing oilseeds, but I am located in stillwater and don't have the means to grow oil-seed crops. I might however know someone who would. What is a typical oil per bushel per acre yield? Are you thinking canola? Do you already have the means to press?

    Noble,

I would like to talk shop and see your applesed setup. If you are going to be around this wekend and have time, and don't mind a few questions, give me a shout.

    Jeremy,

Typical oil bushel output per acre all depends on the yield and seed quality.  You can reasonably expect on a good crop of canola to yield around 50-60 gpa.  We have raised a canola crop and our sunflowers will be ready to cut in about a month.  We have presses here on hand.  We did press our canola but haven't got the oil filtered yet.  We are using our meal in our cattle operation.  We have found it very cost effective to raise our own crops to use for our own use.  Drop me a line to visit more at todd@seedcrushers.com.

It is good to hear back from you. I figured you were probably in the middle of harvest. I will email you soon. I would like to come up to Perry sometime to check out your setup.
