Idea [I] Where to get biodiesel in Texas

Please use this forum to list locations biodiesel can be bought. If you have other info, such as hours, price, address, web site, etc, please also list it. There are a pair of fairly comprehensive lists here: http://www.biodiesel.org/buyingbiodiesel/retailfuelingsites/default.shtm and http://afdcmap.nrel.gov/locator/LocatePane.asp

Dear Biodiesel Fans, We have opened up a second retail location for B100 Biodiesel in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex and it is open for business as of today, Friday the 30th of July 2004. The B100 Biodiesel tank is located in north Ft. Worth at the following address: 1530 Highland Oaks Dr. Keller, TX 76248 Please contact Bobby Camp for a fill up at: Tel: 817-875-5147 E-mail: turbolucbricants@yahoo.com Web: Http://www.turbolubricants.com A big thanks to Bobby Camp and Turbo Lubricants for believing in Biodiesel and helping to bring it to Ft. Worth. Bobby Camp is one of the founders of Turbo Lubricants and drives a VW TDI diesel Jetta, plus has two diesel pick up trucks all powered by Biodiesel. Turbo Lubricants are the southwest’s regional distributor of Motul Synthetic Oils which are an excellent and very cost effective replacement for the Castrol oils that VW specifies for its diesel engines. One of the key benefits of using Motul Synthetic oils is that your oil change interval can be as high as 18,000 miles. I hope that all Fort Worth Biodiesel users will support Bobby and help him justify the risk he is taking by bringing retail Biodiesel to the Fort Worth area. Re: Where to get biodiesel in Texas

These folks, from the biodiesel.org list, sell biodiesel from Texas-grown cottonseed oil. I haven't been able to get over there when they're open, but I did see a 70's-style gas pump labelled "Biodiesel" behind the fence! If I can ever get to Fort Worth when they're open, I'll try it out. They're a couple of miles south of the Distribution Drive automatic fueling location (a little competition never hurt nobody). Joe McHaney Envirosol Biodiesel 1200 N. Willie Nelson Love’s Biodiesel BioWillie Diesel Fuel to be offered at a Love’s Travel Stop MIDLOTHIAN, TEXAS. July 21, 2005: Legendary musician and biodiesel pioneer, Willie Nelson today announced that “BioWillie” is now available from one of the country’s leading truck stop operators. Now drivers can easily purchase this home grown biodiesel fuel at a B20 blend, right from the pump at a Loves Travel Stop, 20 miles south of downtown Dallas. Love’s has partnered with Distribution Drive to supply BioWillie fuel to one of its Texas Travel Stops. The result of this partnership is that BioWillie diesel fuel will be offered at the Love’s Travel Stop #216 in Midlothian, Texas beginning Friday July 22nd, 2005. “BioWillie” is the singer’s unique brand of B20 biodiesel. Biodiesel is a clean burning biodegradable fuel that is produced domestically utilizing our nations’ farmers while at the same time reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil. "Biodiesel is the future,” said Nelson, founder of Willie Nelson Biodiesel. “This is a great day for America when a major supplier of over the road diesel fuel like Love’s decides to make biodiesel available. All of the major automotive and truck manufacturers are struggling to find new ways to meet fuel emissions standards and biodiesel is the most practical and readily available alternative. We have the necessary product right here at home, our farmers can grow it and our truckers can use it without any modifications to their 18 wheelers." Nelson has been a long time supporter of farmers since the 80’s with his Farm Aid organization. Nelson learned about biodiesel after his wife purchased a diesel Jetta and started using biodiesel to fuel it. Nelson and Peter Bell, of biodiesel supplier Distribution Drive, along with three other partners formed the Willie Nelson Biodiesel partnership in December 2004. “We looked at the Loves network of Travel Stops and presence in the trucking market. After meeting with their executives and finding that it was family operated, it was clear that this was the kind of company that we wanted to represent the BioWillie brand,” said Bell. “By working with alert and innovative retailers like Loves, we plan make BioWillie fuel available throughout America.” BioWillie fuel is already available at the Carl’s Corner truck stop in Texas and company representatives say future plans include seeing truck stops carrying the B20 BioWillie blend of biodiesel all over the Lone Star state. Biodiesel offers environmental and engine benefits. It significantly cuts hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, particulate matter and virtually all sulfur emissions. Biodiesel blends increase lubricity, adding to engine life. With biodiesel’s high flash point and non-toxicity, it is extremely safe to use and handle. It also has the highest energy balance of any fuel according to a Department of Energy analysis that shows for every unit of energy put into producing biodiesel, 3.2 units of energy are gained. Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores is a chain of travel stops and convenience stores in a 26 state area. Loves Truck Stops and Country Stores markets major branded petroleum products and through the years, has expanded to more than 170 Travel Stops & Country Stores. Love’s was founded by Tom Love in 1964 and is headquartered in Oklahoma City, remaining family owned to this day. For more information, visit www.loves.com.
