Ok everyone I've contacted Monson and anyone that wants in on an order should message me directly by clicking on my name and sending me an email.  Once we have the demand for 4 or 12 barrels we will place an order.  Currently it's about $4.78 a gallon for 4 barrels and $4.50 for 12 barrels.  Also a bag of KOH is about $53.  Pickup will be in Shelton, CT and there will be an additional charge for shipping, but it was reasonable.

If we can get 12 barrels great more savings for all of us, much cheaper than Sunoco's Methanol which was $7.50 when I called. 

Have you checked with ASTRO chemical out of Springfield,Mass for their prices on supplies? Regards, Joe.D

I'll check with Astro as well, especially since after discussing the order a bit more with Monson, they aren't willing to sell to us homebrewers.  They are part of a Safe Distribution Network and the liability of someone improperly handling the chemicals is too great.  So I'll check with Astro soon and post thier current prices if they're willing to sell.

 Hi.  I'm very interested in the group buy.  I estimate using 4 barrels per year.  How often do you purchase the Methanol?  I don't really want to store large quantities for a long time, but I will if it's a once/year purchase opportunity.  I look forward to moving ahead with this inititative.  It's a GREAT idea.  BTW, I'm also interested in the NaOH and/or KOH too.

Hi all, this sounds like a really good deal considering the short travel distance for me. If the price stays around $4.50/gal I'll take at least 3 barrels and as many as 5. I'll let a few folks know about this and mayb help the order. Any idea when this might be happening? I'll need more by mid-April.

Hello ever one I am just getting started with the bio diesel. I'm looking for about 5 gallons of methanol just to get my feet wet at first. If anyone knows were I can get it I would be grateful for the info.

 We are presently selling 55 Gal drums of Methanol for $4.10 a gal/price varries daily + drum deposit  smaller amounts avilable $5.50 gal with your container  Hydroxide and other supplies avialble from our Waterford Ct. location.
