  just thought I'd post my findings on methanol pricing this spring.

 VP racing fuel from Elliot ME    $220/ drum picked up

Windward oil Manchester NH $195/drum plus 9 fuel surcharge to deliver to my location

Taurus Lubricants - Lowell Ma  $185/drum delivered to me  - now I am a regular customer of thiers and am getting a couple of barrels of Hydraulic oil at the same time. 

 

Taurus said to me that they see the price of Methanol falling and for me to only buy what I need for right now.  They also said they are planning to start stocking KOH.

Jason, I can't thank you enough. I haven't logged on in a while and I just started looking for a 55 gallon drum of methanol. Taurus is 5 minutes from my house, so that is a great find. Thank you!!  Do you know of any local (30 miles) sources for NAOH? 

Yeah, I was just noticing that today as well.  I am near New Haven,CT.  Do you know if they deliver down this way?

I just paid $367 for a 55 gallon drum delivered.  Did the price just spike or was i taken for a ride?

Not sure where you are from, but that is about double what I have paid in the last month.

Price is week to week and supplies are starting to be allocated already for the season. What a game the major suppliers are playing.

Could you get some phone numbers fro these people, especially the Elliott one?  Can't find the number via information.  I'm 3 hours north of Bangor.  Looking for a methanol source closeby.
