I've been trying to find info about the regulations concerning homemade fuels. I'm under the impression that, in SC, if I were to use the vegetable oil, lye and methanol mixture that it can only be legally used offroad. Does anyone know if this is correct? Would I have to produce it as B20 (20% biodiesel, 80% petroleum diesel) and are there limits on how much I can produce? I've read that SVO is not approved by the EPA and is not a legal motor fuel. I got that here http://www.biodiesel.org/resources/faqs/
The Fox Music House at 3005 W. Montague, North Charleston, SC says they have B99, so I guess that means it is a legal motor fuel used as almost pure biodiesel, but can I make it?
