    Grease Trap Questions

Been setting up my accounts for picking up some WVO, and since I have been in business in the area for awhile it is going .."okay" not going to make a living at it yet. But should keep my rigs running cheap for a long time.

     Here are my two questions.

     1) Everyone wants to get rid of their grease trap grease. Now these are like 300 - 700 gallons traps. TO pump it I can charge like 10 cents a gallon? (in California) but can you sell it? Refine it for fuel? it can't have that much grease content.

Alot restaurants are on service of course. Just good business. But they are willing to change once the contracts are up. (good rep) so with a little help from the pros what are my options?

I understand some cities have "burners" (don't remember what they are called) that make energy from it. They just feedstock it with it and turn a profit plus pay all their cost.. will await some feedback.

     2) What is everyone favorite processor. I see Extreme has that plant for not a bad price. Bio Pro is a little pricey for me now. But would like some input.

    Re: Grease Trap Questions

    Idahospud,

I have no personal experience here so take this with a pinch of salt. Mate of mine here in Brisbane has designed a sort of grease diverter that catches the grease in the water stream. He is working on getting the traps accepted by city councils so that they become regulation then he will make a mint selling his trap and getting all the grease for Bd production.
