    Good Co2 Source?

I was just wondering what the best ways were to make a homemade co2 source that may last for hours or days as i am away from my house for a couple days at a time

Ok in truth a couple things are bothering me

I have had a straind of Tetraselmis for 2 weeks and it still has failed to green my tank. I grow it in a shed with an air conditioner on 78 degrees and i put animal/ indoor plant lights in the roof in order to give the tank light. I used distilled water from the store and mixed a 500 ml sample with some salt compund from petsmart. i used a specific gravity tester to ensure the right amout of salt/water in the solution and then put in a 10 gallon tank with a small aeriating rock from petsmart. Humidity in the shed has been an average of 40-60 % and i have the lights set on a timer in order to conserve energy (they are off for 5 hours in the night) i put only a small amount of miracle grow in the tank ( a pinch or two) and have waited for two weeks. what am i doing wrong?

I asked marc for a copy of his book also and im just waiting for a reply...

you should use cool white flourescent lights 24/7  to start with....four inches above the culture vessell.we suggest starting in increments up to   a one gallon jar with an aereator then go to ten gallons.,  we posted a culture  expansion  protocall  on the forum is best to follow it. be patient it sounds like you jumped the gun a little bit. watch out for cool nights if the building isnt heated.

try to get some f2p cell hi  you can get it from aquatic ecosystems .com  miracle grow is too harsh.
