  • Re: I'm running my first tank of biodiesel, (B99) in my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500

I have an 07 CTD. I run B20 regularly and have tried B100 a few times. I get 14-15 around town and 17-18 or a little more on road trips. When I have run the B100, I notice maybe a .5 mpg less difference. My driving habits are too varied to notice much more precise mpg changes. Although not yet proven...

  • Re: White Smoke When I Start Truck In The Morning

If high water content in the fuel is the problem, what can be done. My understanding is the fuel filter/water separator installed in the vehicle only separates water that is not emulsified in the biodiesel. (My "water in fuel" indicator does not illuminate.) Does the FASS or Air Dog system do a better...

  • White Smoke at Startup '07 CTD

I have an 07 Dodge Ram 3500 with 5.9l Cummins Turbo Diesel. I have been using B20 fairly regularly since new and now have over 10,000 miles on the truck.. I have tried B100 a couple of times. Both times I fill up with B100, I still had about 5-7 gallons of ULSD in the 34 gallon tank. (I fill from a commercial...

  • Biodiesel and Fuel Additives in '06 Dodge Cummins?

Hey there. I've been switching between B100, B20 and #2 in our Ram 2500 for about 3 months now, without a problem. Being new to BD and diesel engines, DH and just I read about the ultra low sulfur issues and lack of lubricicity. The author of one article about these issues stressed the urgency of using...

  • ULSD... me likey. Can't wait to see ULSD/bio blend!

Couldn't quite decide where to put this, so I plopped it here. I had to fill up with straight dino tonight and saw that the pump was serving up ULSD. I poured it into my '02 Jetta wagon and off I went. Smoke was practically non-existent, even at WOT. I have Sprints and RocketChip Stage II, so normally...
